Log into your Angeleno Account if you are not already logged in. You will be directed to a five step process to request an appointment:

    1. Choose your agency/department, service, and the office location. Select next to continue. (sample image)

    2. Read any instructions and links provided for that service. Fill out the required fields. Click next to continue. (sample image)

    3. Add any attachments if the service requires it. Click next to continue. (sample image)

    4. Use the calendar to choose an appointment date and time. Some services will have both in-person and/or online meeting times.Select either the in-person or online meeting button within a date square. A pop-up screen will show you the times that are available. Use the select button to select a time.(Tip: use the “First Available Date” button to jump to the First Available appointment date).     5. Decide whether you want to receive text message updates regarding your appointment request. Click “Submit Request” to complete. (sample image)

Once you have submitted your request the screen that follows will show you your appointment status and information regarding your appointment (sample image)

If there were any prior open appointments on any dates, this green highlight would come up on that earlier date. If there are no times showing, it may mean all times are currently booked and you will need to check back at a later time.

Log into your Angeleno account to access the BuildLA Appointment System.

  • If your appointment request has been submitted, you will need to go into your upcoming appointments dashboard. (sample image)
    • Use the “Attachments” button on your Upcoming Appointments page to go back and add attachments to your appointment requests (sample image)

    If you have an in-progress appointment request, you can click the resume button in the same column. This will take you back to the first step in the appointment request process for you to submit your appointment. (Any previously added information will have been saved). You will also be able to go back to the attachments step to add any attachments.

    To add documents to the appointment request follow the instructions below:

      1. Go to your upcoming appointments dashboard (sample image)

      2. Find the appointment request with the status of "Customer Action Required" and click the “Respond to Staff” button (sample image)

      3. Click next till you get to the "Attachments" step and then add the documents requested

      4. Resubmit by getting to the final step. Specify if you would like text updates and click the "Submit Request" button (sample image)

    Please ensure that the person going has a letter of authorization to pick up the permit. In addition, please make sure that they follow the City’s COVID protocol. They will need to provide proof of Vaccination to enter an indoor portion of a city facility in accordance with the Los Angeles Municipal Code, Section 200.123 and abide by masking guidelines in accordance with the Safer L.A. Order.

    You can use the BuildLA Appointment System Virtual Counter for same day online service without an appointment, or you can reach out to BOE using their Customer Service Request Portal.

    Please follow the steps below:

      1. Log into your Angeleno account and go into the BuildLA Appointment System

      2. Click the tile labeled “Upcoming Appointments” (sample image)

      3. From your Upcoming Appointments dashboard use the far most right column and click the cancel button shown. (sample image)

    Please view the Service Availability Chart to see which services are offered within the Appointment System. Please use the primary method definition in the far most right column to receive further information on how to obtain a service that is not offered in the Appointment System.
    Providing proof of Vaccination is required in accordance with the Los Angeles Municipal Code, Section 200.123 and always abide by masking guidelines in accordance with the Safer L.A. Order.
